About Us

Our project was founded in early 2023. Steam Deck was released on February 25, 2022. But the actual portable console was received only in September due to logistical problems and high customer demand. During this time, our admin Egor and two other team members had time to feel and try it in their hands.

We remember the excitement of ordering Steam Deck and the excruciating waiting when it finally arrived. But this was worth it. Thanks to the original Linux system and SteamOS, it opened up many possibilities for testing and new gaming experiences in the projects we were already accustomed to.

But despite the simplicity of use and willingness to explore and experiment, we were sometimes at a loss as to how to make something or set it up. So we created the SteamDeckBox.com project with our small team to help every user fine-tune their portable gaming console.

Our mission is simple – to provide information about Deck in different games and the best ways to configure it for different needs. Run tests and reviews, and potentially create a semi-official beginner’s guide, which we will make available to Steam Community users.

No matter how young our project is, we’ll keep improving it, writing new articles, and developing groups for communication between Steam Deck owners. We would also be very happy for any support from you. To do so, please get in touch with our administration via the feedback form or our social networks.

See you on the other side!
